The Hardacres

With painterly flair, we set the scene for this family saga about the rags-to-riches journey of a working-class family in 1890s Yorkshire.

From rugged hills, choppy seas and the hard labour of the fish docks, to the refined splendour of Hardacre Hall, we invited audiences to follow the journey our upwardly mobile family make in their dramatic tale. Inspired by maritime art and traditional watercolour, we created a world full of expressive marks and texture, capturing the rawness and beauty of the show.
